Mother's Day USO Celebration

Card's were provided so the service members could send their love from far away!

Who says our service members can't celebrate Mother's Day without their mom there??

Gifts for the moms!
Our amazing volunteers worked hard in the kitchen to prepare a delicious Mother’s Day brunch at NAS Pensacola. Broussard’s Bayou Grill & Cajun Market provided jambalaya lasagna and rolls and our volunteers cut up fresh fruits and veggies. They also made pumpkin spice pudding and brownies. We gave out Girl Scout Cookies, Whitman’s Chocolates and some more goodies for all moms who visited us on Mother’s Day! For two weeks leading up to Mother’s Day, USO NAS Pensacola had a table set up with free cards and Service Members could fill out a card and stamped and mailed them. In these two weeks, we collected and mailed out 119 cards to moms, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts and sisters. We also set up a mirror with a Happy Mother’s Day sign on it so Service Members could take a “selfie” and send it to their mom to brighten their day.
