Our wonderful volunteers that helped make this event possible!
Just a few of the big prizes given out.
Easter Sunday at the USO was quite EGGciting! We had some fantastic volunteers hide 450 eggs throughout the second deck of the USO. 250 of those eggs were provided by Whataburger and every egg had a coupon for a free burger. Not only did we hide 450 eggs, but thanks to USAA, Subway, Texas Roadhouse and Whataburger, we gave out some spectacular prizes during our egg hunt! Some of those prizes were Disney movies, paired with popcorn, gift cards and even two bicycles! The hunt didn’t start until 3:00 PM, but there was a line from our welcome table all the way to the stairs of excited children ready for candy and prizes. After the egg hunt, Chris from USAA did two drawings for two NEX gift cards that USAA donated for this event. Dinner was ready at 5:00 pm and our amazing volunteers served ham from the Commissary, macaroni and cheese and potato casserole from Broussard’s Bayou Grill & Cajun Market, rolls, green beans and topped off our Easter feast with Marie Callender’s pies! Needless to say, all of our Service Members left with full bellies!
